I
have been photographing Beautiful British Columbia for over 25 years, and now its time to share.
Having had the opportunity to live and work in a variety of different areas of B.C., spanning from the south coast of Vancouver to the North East corner of the province, I have tried to capture on film what has impressed me the most.

Hi, For those who want to know more........

My name is Sandra Milner, I'm the designer and developer of this site, Steve's wife and fellow photographer

Steve and I have spent the last 25 yrs taking photographs all over B.C. That's how we met twelve yrs ago, while living in

Whistler B.C. Canada

After a few years, life and work got in the way, and the cameras were set aside for awhile.
Life, changed again, (as it always does) and we moved north.

Steve was born in New Zealand, and raised in Amherst Nova Scotia, He moved to Vancouver in 1974, and has resided in BC ever since.

If you have photography in your blood, going somewhere new is great fun. So, after spending 20 years in southern B.C., The north was definitely a new adventure, and once again, our cameras came out.

Steve had started out taking photos in 1984 with black and white, and loved it. I don't think I ever saw him put a roll of color in his camera until sometime in 2004,..... when he saw the Northern Lights.

On a cold night of -40 C, while trying to learn how to capture this wonderful display of lights on film, by just plain luck, along with the Northern lights, he caught two shooting stars falling parallel through the shot,..... it was a sign...that there was more to come....and, to use a tripod in -40 degree weather.

So last year we decided to start a family business and build ourselves a web site. I went back to school and learned how to build the site, and we used Steves' photographs to create www.peaceofthenorth-photoart.com

Steve is still driving truck, and taking pictures, and I manage the business, Life is good.

Together, with years of photos from all over British Columbia, we think we can give you a wonderful gallery to look through.

Please Enjoy
